Welcome to Theme Ministry

Welcome to the Unitarian Congregation in Mississauga’s theme ministry pages. At the beginning of each month we will provide new resources, experiences and questions to ponder on the month’s theme.

For 2017-2018, themes begin in October with Covenant and will end in May with Creativity.  What do these concepts mean for Unitarian Universalists?  How do we experience these themes in our own lives?

We join with over one hundred UU congregations across North America in shaping our spiritual community through monthly themes.  We choose our themes in consultation with other Canadian congregations.  Through the Soul Matters sharing circle, we gratefully access years of themes and resources.  The content on this site includes Soul Matters curated material and new additions. Special thanks to the Rev. Scott Tayler, who began this initiative several years ago at the First Unitarian Church of Rochester, New York.
