DONATION BY WILLS

The most common form of planned giving is a bequest in your will.  A bequest can be a specific amount of money or a percentage of your estate. There may be positive tax implications by including UCM in your will. After you take care of your loved ones, please consider remembering UCM in your will.

DONATION BY OTHER ASSETS

There are a number of non-traditional ways to donate, such as securities, life insurance and RRSPs/RRIFs. These have varying degrees of complexity which may require more professional guidance in the context of estate planning.

PLEDGES

The annual pledge campaign begins in October. Each family or individual in the congregation will be asked to make a forecast of the donations they intend to make for the operation of the church during the upcoming calendar year.  A pledge is not a contract, but simply a statement of intention, which can then be used by the church administration in preparing the annual budget.

How Can I Pledge?
  • Email Forms: Most families in our congregation receive a personalized pledge form by email
  • Electronic Pledging: You can also pledge Online
  • Pre-Authorized Agreement: If you wish your pledge to be withdrawn from your bank account, a Pre-Authorized Deposit Agreement (PAD) Form will need to be completed if it is the first time you have pledged in this manner. If you have already filled one out, you don’t need to do so again.

UCM sends out e-mail tax receipts each February for the previous year’s donations.

Thank you for your generosity!
