Sunday Services – Rev. Stephen Atkinson – What is Easter to Unitarian Universalists?

April 5 – What is Easter to Unitarian Universalists?

Spring festivals have been part of human culture perhaps even further into the past than we have evidence for. Religious significance has grown up around them, but the foundation rests on the joy of returning growth and new life. Today’s service will be a collage of Spring and Easter images, words and music.

The Rev. Stephen Atkinson has enjoyed being with us in the past, and is glad to be here again this week. His parish ministry was at North Shore Unitarian Church in West Vancouver BC, and he trained and practiced chaplaincy briefly at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. Now, he enjoys retirement, volunteering for First Unitarian Church of Hamilton and the Ministerial Fellowship Committee of the UUA, and, especially, guest preaching.
