MOST RECENT REFLECTIONS

I think of Sunday mornings as a time to gather for reflection on the gift of life we all share, a time to express gratitude for this complex and sometimes vexing gift. It remains a mystery why any of us are here in this time and place, of all times and places, though we can explain some things better than others. Worshiping together provides an occasion to craft meaning from the complexity, from the variations of joy and sorrow we all experience, and from the opportunities and challenges we encounter. My words on a Sunday morning, framed within all parts of the service, are my attempts at meaning. I hope they encourage and sustain you as you make meaning of and in your life.
