  We believe that all life is interconnected. We care for our environment so that it may sustain life for generations to come, an especially important responsibility because those who are most impacted by environmental destruction are often those with the least power. Creating a sustainable way of life is central to our view of a just and compassionate world.

  NURTURING INCLUSIVITY
  
  As a community, we are working to enlarge our circle in ways that reduce white privilege and truly welcome people of colour. Our educational focus is “Nurturing Inclusivity”: deepening our understanding of systemic and structural racism and the inherent bias that has been internalized by people in Canadian society. We seek to deepen our understanding of the impact of racism on racialized people, so that we may develop as Unitarian Universalists.

  The Unitarian Congregation in Mississauga has experienced Lay Chaplains serving the Peel and Halton Regions and surrounding areas. Our Lay Chaplains lead various Rites of Passage for the general public in the area, in many different locations such as private homes, public or home gardens and rented halls.
