Sunday Service: Being Beloved Community

It feels like fall has arrived, orange pumpklins everywhere, the sharp purples and shades of red along the roadsides, and the cool damp rain. It's a time of abundance and change. Here at UCM we turn our attention to nurturing inclusivity, with a Multi Age service this Sunday at 10:30am.  We will hear about Viola Desmond's courage all those years ago in Nova Scotia. After the shorter service we will all head upstairs for a fun learning activity, exploring ideas of inclusion and exclusion. This is vital work and I am proud that we are willing to stretch ourselves and strengthen our community. Thank you to all UCM folks who showed up at Climate Strikes across the GTA. Between Brampton, Mississauga and Toronto, over 25 of us in total! We put our UU principles into action and spoke up for the urgent need to address the climate crisis. If you are new to UCM, or just curious to learn more Unitarian Universalism, you are invited to join me in my office, about 10 minutes after the service and activity ends. We will have tea and talk about what matters most to you. I look forward to being with all of you this Sunday. Tea with the Minister

After the service, join Rev. Fiona in the Meditation Room for tea and conversation. This informal visit is an opportunity for newcomers to ask questions, learn more about our spiritual community and grow social connections. Begins about 15 minutes after the service ends.
