World Interfaith Harmony Prayer Breakfast
Monday February 4th 7:00am to 9:00am
UCM has been honoured to act as host for the Interfaith Council of Peel’s 5th annual World Interfaith Harmony Prayer Breakfast. This is a global initiative from the United Nations, which has proclaimed the first week of February of every year the World Interfaith Harmony Week between all religions, faiths and beliefs, and the spread of the message of interfaith harmony and goodwill in the world’s churches, mosques, synagogues, temples and other places of worship during that week, based on love of God and love of one’s neighbour or on love of the good and love of one’s neighbour, each according to their own religious traditions or convictions.
Attendees include mayors, MPs, MPPs, city councillors and school board trustees, as well as local faith leaders. The morning includes a light breakfast provided by the Interfaith Council, and a short programme of prayers and speeches. This is a wonderful opportunity to show off the beauty of our building and property. Congregation members are welcome to attend.
We also need 4 to 6 people for volunteer support – for table and chair set- up, greeting, provide sound, organize tea and coffee, put food out, and clean up. Set up will done Sunday.
Please contact Rev. Fiona or phone Tisa if you are able to volunteer.
