Volunteer Fair: Festive Fair

There’s less than two months until our annual Festive Fair on November 16th! We will be holding a volunteer info session and sign-up after service on September 29th so please think about how you want to be involved. There are many areas where you can help:

Café – Paula McNaughton is looking for soup makers and dessert bakers and for lots of assistance preparing sandwiches and serving on the day of the fair.

Treasure Trove – Judy Benger is stepping down this year so we need one or two people to organize this popular area, as well as sales help on the day of the fair. We accept household items to sell in good and very clean condition no larger than an airplane carry on. Popular items include jewellery, decorative items and serving dishes.

Silent Auction – Sheila Bjarnason and John Rowell are looking for donations of restaurant and store gift certificates as well as items in perfect condition too valuable for the treasure trove.

Bake Table – Gertrud and Ed Bieri are seeking donations of pies, loaves and cookies. Holiday themed goods are especially popular.

Greeters and Ticket Sales. – we need 4-6 people for these key tasks.

Publicity – help is required to put up lawn signs and posters in the weeks prior to the Fair.

As this is my last year as Chair please let me know if you are interested in taking on the Festive Fair in 2020. It would be great if you could work with me this year to help with a smooth transition.
