This Earth Day Sunday at 10:30am we celebrate our relationship to the earth, our home. “Radical collaboration and relentless optimism”, as UN climate chief Christiana Figueres says, is the way to deal with climate change challenge. As a life long tree hugger, who tries to live by our seventh principle, I see spiritual connection is another necessary part of the equation. The climate change challenge is an opportunity, and there is good reason for optimism. I’ll lift up the many signs of hope, including our own Green Sanctuary Task Force.
Whether you come weekly or can only come a couple of times of year, you are welcome here. And invite your friends. You never know who might need a nurturing community.
I look forward to being with all of you on Sunday.
