We are gathering in person this Sunday at 10:30am!
This Sunday at 10:30am (in-person, on-line, YouTube) join me for a dive into our sixth principle which calls us to build community. From 19th century utopian experiments to the joy of bhangra dancing in the Yukon, I look at ways to live “the goal of world community with peace, liberty and justice for all.”
One way we live our sixth principle is through our mission to “nurture community”. I have seen many UCM folks beautifully nurturing community: from the Membership Committee hosting a wonderful new members evening to the return of after service coffee lovingly served to busy preparations for the new OWL program for youth to people simply checking in on one another. We create community through these moments of intentional care. Even as we continue to adjust and re-adjust to these uncertain times we continue to live our mission and I am so grateful to all of you!

In two weeks there will be a historic Canadian Unitarian Council on-line gathering with the national vote to adopt the eighth principle. I will be attending the meeting along with our three voting delegates. The weekend is also a celebration of 60 years as a national organization, with free special events from Friday to Sunday – all UUs are invited. It’s a great chance to get to know UUs from across the country. Please see below for details.
I look forward to being with all of you on Sunday, whether that is in-person or on-line.
Blessings,
Fiona
