“All our lives we are in need, and others are in need of us.” George Odell
On this dreary and rainy day, I am reminded of the comfort to be had in good company. While I enjoy my own company and find nourishment in solitude, I am always also in need of others. We need one another to celebrate the wonderful and survive the challenges of life. This Sunday February 12th at 10:30am, we return to our wellness focus, exploring organizational well-being. Our personal well-being is interwoven into collective well-being. Today we explore why being part of a collective is good for us, but also difficult to navigate. We will also hear more about the Great Hall 15th anniversary. Stay after the service for a special Valentine’s Tea provided by the youth group. Join me at a table for our monthly wellness discussion.
I am saddened by the loss of life and scale of destruction caused by the earthquake in Turkey and Syria. It is almost too big to understand. Their need is great, and I have donated to the Red Cross Appeal. a small helping action. My heart goes out to those families in Laval, Quebec who lost their beloved children in the tragic bus crash, to all who had to experience the terrible scene. May all of those dealing with destruction be held with warmth, love and light.
