2SLGBTQIA+ Pride has a history of actually saving lives, but it’s possible to sweep that aspect of it under the contemporary rug of civil, marriage and adoption rights, Drag Queen story times and such. Unitarians might think this is a done deal. It is not. Yet, Pride also has now moved to be a celebration of unique, vibrant and creative lives.

The Rev. Stephen Atkinson is a retired UU minister who served North Shore Unitarian Church in West Vancouver in the past. He now has a few volunteer UU positions and guest preaches on occasion in southern Ontario. He looks forward to being back at UCM having last appeared as a zoom speaker in December 2020.
John Rowell will be the Service Leader.
