Sunday Service: Gratitude

This Sunday join Wendy Shusterman as she speaks about the well of gratitude that sustains us all.

“May our spirits hear in the breaking of bread the song of the universe.”

I don’t know where I found this unsourced quote but I turn to it every Thanksgiving; I find the association of the humble act of sharing bread with the infinite universe offers a truth I often forget. Despite our troubles, we are fortunate to be alive, to be eating, breathing bodies on this blue green planet. I am thankful for this holiday which calls us to gratitude.

I invite you to take time to consider all that you are thankful for on this holiday weekend. What has been the biggest blessing in your life in the past few months? Who are you missing this weekend? Where is the beauty in your life?

The YouTube livestream of the Service will be available to subscibers to the UCM channel:

To subscribe, find the Unitarian Congregation in Mississauga on YouTube, and hit the subscribe button. The livestream will appear on the main page when it begins. Live Streaming without a Zoom gathering is an experiment so please let us know what you think at admin@uucm.ca.

I will be back next Sunday for our Family service on Social Wellness.

Blessings are everywhere.
