We are gathering on Zoom this Sunday at 10:30am!
We have arrived at last at the first. Last fall, anticipating the national adoption of the eighth principle (dismantling oppression), we began a Sunday series on the principles to help us better understand how these guiding precepts might shape our lives. The series concludes this Sunday on Zoom at 10:30am with an examination of the first principle – our desire to affirm the inherent worth and dignity of every person. With families fractured by vaccine dissent and politics, how do we maintain our integrity while treating all people with respect?

The Omicron variant of COVID-19 continues to surge in Peel Region, I believe we all now know someone close to us who has had COVID, or may even be struggling with it ourselves. Vaccinations are mitigating the worst of this virus, and the provincial restrictions help reduce transmission, but it is still a worrisome time. I am holding all of us in the light of the chalice and I encourage you to find practices that bring you comfort, whether that is lighting a chalice, phoning a friend or sitting in meditation. May we continue on with patience and fortitude. As the days get longer and lighter, this too shall pass.
I look forward to being with you on Sunday.
Blessings,
Fiona
