In Person Sunday Service: Pandamiversary

Everyone is invited to join us Sunday at 10:30am, in person or on-line.

As we move towards the light with the upcoming spring equinox it is fitting that this Sunday we stand in a doorway, looking back at the experiences of two years of pandemic life before we turn and step through into the future. We all had a different pandemic, some living with great loss, others enjoying new challenges, what gifts are we taking with us, what do we need to leave behind?  We will hear pandemic stories from Brenda Poole and Shirley Dickens.

In the midst of pressing human concerns, from the horrifying war in Ukraine to rising inflation and our own personal sorrows, let us find comfort in the ancient wisdom of the earth. Next week is our all ages Spring Ceremony, where we celebrate new life with maple syrup and earth blessings. As poet Joyce Kilmer says in March “The air is like a butterfly/ With frail blue wings./ The happy earth looks at the sky/ And sings.” I invite you to practice the spiritual art of paying attention to the signs of spring for the next few weeks.

If you have friends that are seeking a spiritual home, please invite them to join you on a Sunday. We may be the community they need.

Blessings,
Rev. Fiona
