French philiosopher Simone de Beauvoir once wrote “That’s what I consider true generosity: You give your all, and yet you always feel as if it costs you nothing.” This Sunday at 10:30am I look at how generosity arises from gratitude and how both help keep us resilient in the face of challenges. We welcome Jonathan Wong back as our guest Music Director and look forward to hearing him play live. If our services have meaning to you, offer this gift to friends – invite them to join us on a Sunday morning.

This Sunday marks the launch of our annual Canvass Campaign “Embracing a Culture of Generosity” with a testimony video from Becky Bridel, Canvass Chair. UCM is rooted in the many gifts of members and friends – from service leading to property care to finances – as well as the gift of your presence. We exist because of the generosity of all of you. I am lucky and grateful to be your minister.
Many of you are worried about the upcoming election in the United States and the impact of the outcome – not just for the U.S. but for all of us. On Wednesday November 4th at 7:00pm (the night after election day) I will host an “open house” on Zoom for people to be together and process.
I look forward to being with all of you on Sunday morning.
