Thanksgiving weekend will feel strange this year – a holiday for family gatherings and expressions of gratitude in a time when families need to stay apart and being grateful is a challenge. On Sunday at 10:30am join me on Zoom as I explore the complicated emotions of being six months into a pandemic with no end in sight while seeking the good that is still present.
Unitarian Universalism is a religion founded in a theology of gratitude and generosity, what can we do to cultivate these necessary virtues in this time of crisis? This week I look at gratitude, next week I will explore how people of the chalice express generosity.
On Saturday join me at UCM for a drive by to pick up a thanksgiving gift bag! Come down between 1:00pm and 3:00pm. If the weather is warm wear a mask and visit for a few minutes on the lawn – socially distanced of course!.
In the midst of challenge and crisis my hope for all of us is that we may find our way to gratitude for someone or something this weekend.
