On this holiday weekend of thanksgiving treat yourself and your family to a morning of togetherness at UCM. Sunday at 10:30am we will begin our October exploration of listening, exploring listening as a form of compassion for ourselves and our loved ones. Feeling truly heard is a powerful gift, a gift all of us can give. We will practice listening as we enjoy an extended music meditation performed by Music Director Abigail Freeman.
All are welcome to stay after service for our Thanksgiving Potluck Dessert. Bring your favourite apple or pumpkin dessert to share (remember we are nut-free).
As this is this is the month of learning, it is a good time to remind you that I am hear to listen to you. If you are in need of a safe place to speak, to share your struggles, spiritual or otherwise, please reach out. You can contact me via e-mail or by calling or texting me at my cell phone.
On this holiday weekend, may you find time to enjoy the earth in all its glorious fall colours. As Anne of Green Gables said, “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.”
I look forward to being with all of you this Sunday.
