Sunday Service: Judgement Free Zone

In an increasingly divisive world, where it is ever easier to become entrenched in “being right” and dismissing “the other side”, the skill of listening is a vital tool in restoration of relationship. Listening well is also deeply satisfying, restorative to our spirit when we create that “alternating current” with another person. This Sunday at 10:30am, we will engage in listening practices in small groups, hear stories about how listening without judgement can alter outcomes, and enjoy a gift of music from our choir.

Monday October 21st is the date of the Federal Election. If you haven’t already voted, I encourage you to exercise our 5th principle of democracy and vote.  Every person’s vote matters.

I am delighted that we have a new Director of Lifespan Learning, Kathleen Cairnie-Sorensen. Kathleen brings a wealth of experience and a warm hearted spirit to UCM, we are fortunate to have her join our chalice community. She began work this past Tuesday and will be with us this Sunday.

I look forward to a wonderful Sunday with all of you.

Blessings,

Fiona
