Pathway Sunday – March 17
This Sunday at 10:30am, join service leader Charlotte Ferworn and speaker John Needham for our annual service celebrating Pathway Housing and Community Programs.
Pathway Non-Profit Community Developments is a prime example of successful inter-faith cooperation, action and sustainability when it comes to affordable housing. It was founded over 30 years ago by the Unitarian Congregation in Mississauga, Solel Congregation of Mississauga, and Streetsville United Church to help address the need for affordable housing in Peel Region. Pathway built and operates two affordable housing buildings containing 230 units in Mississauga and manages an additional 240 social housing units through Pathway Housing and Support Services (PHSS). In addition, Pathway Community Programs (PCP) continues to provide and oversee breakfasts and activities for the children of our tenants and neighbours.
Join us to receive an update on Pathway’s activities. You are also invited to renew or become a Pathway member for a $10 membership fee and to make a donation to Pathway Community Programs to ensure its much-needed programs are sustainable.
John Needham will share a video about the early days when we helped to create Pathway, which is intended to provide good quality affordable housing to people of low, no, or modest income. A special collection for Pathway Community Programs will be held.
