Online Event: Meeting at the Confluence

Join me (Rev. Fiona) on Zoom to watch this year’s UU Confluence Lecture given by the Rev. Anne Barker of the Westwood Congregation in Edmonton. At each Canadian Unitarian Council bi-annual conference a UU minister offers this keynote address intended to offer insight on the possibilities of Canadian Unitarian Universalism.

The 2021 Confluence Lecture, A New Premise, will ask questions intended to gently interrupt us a little further, to imagine our collective future in a less familiar way. In this lockdown year, the lecture is on-line and available to all.

We will watch the three segments of the lecture, pausing after each to look at the associated readings and worksheets and discuss. This is open to everyone, whether or not you are attending the CUC on-line conference. If you are attending the CUC on-line conference, you can also join a May 14th 7:30pm ET session to discuss the lecture with UUs from across the country and ask Rev. Anne questions.

I have found the Confluence Lectures thought provoking, offering insight and possibility for our religious tradition and inspiring deep conversation about what it means to be people of the chalice. I look forward to sharing this with you!
