Join Rev. Fiona and DLL Kathleen to hear more about our exciting plans for Adult Spiritual Development courses and classes in the fall. Some will be virtual, others will be in-person or multi-platform. We have excellent opportunities to go deeper spiritually, embody anti-oppression, and more.
Our weekly Friday meditation sessions will resume in September. This is a time to slow down, breathe, and really take notice of how you are doing. Each week we will look at different aspect of mindfulness and participate in various exercises intended to help us expand our appreciation of that area of our lives. Registration is not necessary, you can drop in as you are available
Wellspring Sacred Arts:
We are opening up Wellspring to new participants. This is a year long program, meeting every two weeks from late September until May. We will begin in person, then meet mostly on-line.
Wellspring Sacred Arts is an advanced class in the Wellspring program that offers spiritual deepening through the arts. The connection between spirituality and creativity will be explored through an examination of various art forms, our own acts of art-making, and reflections on what art has to teach us about theology and faith.
Young Adult Wellspring
UU Wellspring helps Young Adults connect to community and build their spiritual lives to sustain their faith and gain confidence in using their voices to make a difference. This 8 week program for those 18 to 35 years old will help you to explore what is important in your life, connect with your peers, and engage with what it means to be a Unitarian Universalist and how your faith can sustain you especially during this time. You will participate in a variety of spiritual practices that can sustain and enrich the rest of your life.
This is another year long virtual learning series that will connect us with UUs across North America. Beloved Conversations is a program for Unitarian Universalists seeking to embody racial justice as a spiritual practice. In Beloved Conversations, we are here to heal the impact of racism on our lives, in order to get free together. Please note there is a significant financial cost for individuals to participate. Subsides may be available.
Life and Death are One
“For life and death are one, even as the river and the sea are one.” Khalil Gibran
This Fall we are embarking on an exploration of grief, dying, and death. Beginning in late September, we will host a Death Cafe, explore Green Burial options, and talk about Medical Assistance in Dying. After our Ritual of Mourning, Rev. Fiona will offer Healing Conversations, a six week class for those living with grief.
