We will start at 7:00 pm by having a 30-45 minute Hunter Ceremony by a sacred fire outdoors before we drum for the birthing/feeding of the new drums that were made this past Sunday, but all drumming participants can attend this as well. We will have a feast after the ceremony, which will include a meat stew and a plant based soup and bannock. If anyone is interested in learning to make bannock, there is a bannock making lesson at 5:00 pm before the drumming.
We have also confirmed drumming circle nights for Thursday, March 23 and Thursday, April 27, and future dates will be confirmed as we go along. These nights are being offered by donation only (suggested donation $15 or pay-what-you-can) when you arrive. Elder Philip Cote will be teaching and leading these circles. Philip Cote is a Young Spiritual Elder, Artist, Activist, Historian and Traditional Wisdom Keeper, Sundancer, Pipe Carrier and Sweat Ceremony Leader.
