Rev. Fiona will be joining us this week to tell us about the “Mother of Hubble”, astronomer Nancy Grace Roman (1925-2018). Nancy was the first person to hold the position of Chief Astronomer at NASA, and was the first female executive at the space agency. She was instrumental in the development and launch of the Hubble Deep Space telescope. Nancy was also a life long Unitarian, who taught religious education for children and adults.
