The UCM Amnesty team has created letters on three issues this Sunday Nov. 6th.
The first is a letter to the British Columbia Premier and Minister of Sport advocating the reversal of its recent decision to abandon a joint bid with four First Nations for the 2030 Winter Olympics – a missed opportunity for a major boost to Reconciliation efforts in Canada.
The second letter is advocating for an independent judiciary in Tunisia, by reinstating many judges dismissed for political reasons.
The third letter is to the government of Burundi, urging the release of a lawyer who was arbitrarily jailed on unsubstantiated charges.
Please read the letters in the lobby and sign them if you agree. Contributions for postal costs are appreciated.
