Sourcefire: Automnal Equinox

The SourceFire Pagan Ritual Group presents: Autumnal Equinox
Leader: Cassie Rawlinson.

We celebrate together the Autumnal Equinox, time of the second harvest, the harvest of fruit and wine. The days grow colder and the leaves fall. Fruits ripen and seeds drop. This is a time of balance, when night equals day and although much seems dead or dying, we know that life continues. Life is not possible without death and the coming of winter is just another spoke in the great wheel. We will explore the compassion of Kwan Yin and the darkness of Baba Yaga and what both compassion and the waning year mean in our lives.

Come along and bring a friend if you like. Feel free to bring nut free food to share and donations are welcome.

SourceFire meets in the Great Hall on the third Thursday of the month from September to June. We celebrate our UU principles and honour the earth in many ways, some of which may include poetry, readings, meditation, dance, drumming, singing and ritual. Small groups taking turns planning each ritual by sharing their talents and experiences.

Blessed Be!
